Best Practices in Early Intervention (Speech Therapy)
This discussion will focus on two main aspects: assessment and intervention.
Assessment:
In the assessment phase, our primary objectives are to identify the best approaches and tests for evaluating children aged 0 to 4.
Intervention:
In the intervention phase, we will delve into evidence-based approaches for early intervention. We will also explore best practices aimed at fostering the development of communication and language skills in children ( individualized plan / ted and hanen programs/ parental guidance and involvement/ play based therapy)
Biography:
Ghadir Elzein, a dedicated and experienced speech and language therapist based in Lebanon. With over eight years of expertise in the field, I am passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with various disabilities.
Ghadir holds a Master’s degree in Neuropsychology from the Lebanese University Faculty of Medical Sciences, as well as a Mastered License in Speech Therapy from the Lebanese University’s Faculty of Public Health. My commitment to staying at the forefront of my field is demonstrated by my certifications, including being a Certified Hanen Parent Trainer for the “More than words” program, a Lidcombe Program Trainer for stuttering in young children, and having completed the Exchange and Development Therapy (TED) workshop.
