SOCIAL INTERVENTION
We seek all the social and economic information related to the child’s household. We follow up on the child’s progress and obstacles that could come up during the therapy process through field visits, one-on-one sessions and group meetings at the center, as well as through discussing the different cases with the team.
The Social Support Staff also support the family in the search to find the appropriate institution that could host the child following the early intervention phase, based on the recommendations and suggestions of the multi-disciplinary team.
The social office at ECIL Center targets the factors affecting the environment surrounding the child from the smallest and most influential circle of the nucleus family, extending to the entire social system related to the child's growth and the right to early intervention services appropriate to his needs.
The social department works to achieve this by:
- Assisting the parents in improving social and living conditions within the home environment.
- Orienting the parents and helping them to ask the right question to the right specialist in order to be more knowledgeable about their child's abilities and skills.
- Accompany the parents in the process of building a system of supportive social relations.
- Networking with health, service and development institutions to facilitate families’ access to the necessary
- Logistical support.
