SPEECH & LANGUAGE THERAPY

_

The Speech and language department provides services to the families and their children who demonstrate delays or disabilities in communication, language, speech and/or feeding and swallowing difficulties and disorders.

The speech and language pathologist collaborates closely with the team in the following: prevention, screening, evaluation and assessment; planning, implementing, and monitoring intervention and transition planning for these children.

In addition, the speech and language therapist also provides awareness and guidance to the families on how to use everyday interaction as a context of learning in a natural environment, since the parents are the child first teacher.
