  • Understand how children of different ages perceive war and danger.
  • ⁠Learn what to say (and what not to say) when children ask difficult questions.
  • ⁠Know how to respond to specific war related situations (fear of sounds, questions about safety and death, displacement, loss of routine…).
  • ⁠Recognize common stress reactions in children and learn emotional regulation tools.
  • ⁠Enhance adult’s capacity in supporting themselves in order to support kids.

Biography:

Laure Saad

  • Laure Saad is licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in Children and Adolescents. She graduated from the Lebanese University in 2021 and obtained her specialty from the Clinical Psychology Training Program at AUBMC in 2023.
  • Currently, Laure works as a Clinical Psychologist at AUBMC and serves as the Supervisor of the Mental Health Department at ECIL Center.
  • In her practice, Laure uses third-wave approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).
