Sensory and brain development begin before birth and continue through experience. For preterm infants, the hospital environment differs significantly from the fetal environment, creating challenges for sensory regulation. Psychomotor interventions aim to support development through carefully adapted sensory stimulation: auditory, visual, olfactory, tactile and proprioceptive based on each infant’s physiological and behavioral responses. This workshop explores the scientific foundations of these interventions and their role in promoting neurodevelopmental balance and early interaction.
